Completing the Class Online
The BLS certification course and training will begin with a brief explanation of each module and algorithm. You’ll be given a basic outline of what the class entails with navigation links to each section.

Details of the Exam Process

How Do You Get a BLS Renewal?
A BLS card is valid for two years here at United Medical Education. If your BLS certification has been expired, you can still take an abbreviated review course to renew your provider card. There is no need to finish the fundamental BLS course again if your card has expired.
Is BLS Training the Same as CPR Training?
BLS training does include CPR, but it is only one part of the larger Basic Life Support curriculum. BLS certification refers to a more advanced form of CPR certification that is used by first responders, healthcare providers, and other highly qualified individuals.
A general CPR certification may not be adequate in an environment that demands Basic Life Support training. If you have any doubts, contact your company’s administrator to find out whether any certifications are acceptable.
Can You Get Your BLS Certification Online?
The American Heart Association and the Red Cross do not currently provide online-only BLS certification. However, here at United Medical Education we have built a training program that allows you to earn your BLS certification entirely online.
If you’re looking for an in-person course, it will likely be conducted in a classroom and last a total of 4 hours. A blended class may include up to 1 hour of face-to-face instruction and up to 3 hours of online study.
